Boys and Girls Club of San Dieguito
The Fund approved a grant to purchase new interior lighting and basketball backboards for the Griset Branch Gymnasium at the Boys and Girls Club of San Dieguito in Encinitas.

Vietnam Veterans of San Diego
A grant will support the National Stand Down event held in July. The event supports veterans who have fallen into homelessness by offering them a meal, clothing, medical attention, counseling, and access to programs and services to help them get off the streets and back on their feet again.

Mind Treasures
A grant will support financial literacy workshops for youth. Mind Treasures developed a unique curriculum, “ABC’s of Wealth,” that teaches youth how to become financially independent and stable leading to strong families and communities. The curriculum is taught primarily at public schools in the Diamond neighborhood of San Diego.

Fresh Fund
The Fund approved extending an existing grant to support the “Fresh Fund” at the City Heights Farmer’s Market held every Saturday in the Urban Village. The Fresh Fund increases the buying power of shoppers at the Market by matching food stamp purchases of fruits and vegetables of up to $20 per month per family.

Education Programs
The Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla and the San Diego Zoo received grants to support their education programs. The Salk Institute received a grant to support its mobile learning lab. The lab brings a three day, hands on scientific learning experience to local San Diego school campuses.

Greater San Diego City Tennis Council
The Greater San Diego City Tennis Council received a grant for tennis court repairs.

San Diego Youth Symphony
The San Diego Youth Symphony received a general operating grant.
